November Newsletter

The consensus is that many of you preferred to have more details of events in our monthly newsletter, so we are going back to the prior format. Thank you all for your comments – they were thoughtful and very helpful!

We still do need your help with filling the open Treasurer position on the IWCV Board of Directors. The position does not require a lot of time, and with the exception of attending Board Meetings, most things can be done remotely. If you are interested in becoming more involved with the IWCV, have past bookkeeping or accounting experience, know how to use an Excel spreadsheet, and don’t object to being a signatory on our Spanish bank account, please email Jane at president@iwc-valencia.com and she will be happy to chat with you to discuss what the position involves. Thank you all for considering taking on this very important position!

Read on to find out what the IWCV has planned for you this coming month, and don’t forget to check the IWCV website (www.iwc-valencia.com) periodically as events are added all the time!)

Full registered members now stand at 288. New members found us many through other members and Facebook recommendations.

We received another excellent number of new member applications this month. We are holding our New Members meet-up on 7th November, 11:00am at Jane Buck’s home and we welcome any new members to come along. Simply sign up on the website so we know who is coming. Members who have been with us for longer are also welcome to attend to meet some of our new members! Besides giving you an opportunity to meet other new members, we will be introducing Board members who will talk about our many activities and how to get involved, the Ambassador Programme, and the charities we support.

Remember all the information about the IWCV is on the IWCV website. If you would like to join one of the many WhatsApp groups, just contact the relevant lead member or any Board Member. If you know any women in your personal network who you think would enjoy our club please pass along our website www.iwc-valencia.com and bring them along to an event. Our Monthly First Tuesday Coffee at Muvim Cafe on 5th November from 10:30 AM is a great way to meet new people – please come along!

ACTIVITIES

Susan Burke March, VP—Activities

Now that it's autumn, IWCV's ongoing activities are back in the swing! You can learn more about the activities and new weekly events – all you have to do is  log into the IWCV website to check out all the offerings. IWCV members are busy nearly every week with exciting and fun ongoing groups where they meet new friends and form lifetime relationships. Engaging, creative, and informative events like drawing classes, nutrition presentations, or cooking classes are local. Others include Valencian cultural tours led by expert guides, where we explore Valencia and include day trips to fascinating destinations.

Do you have an idea for a regularly scheduled activity you'd like to coordinate? Or you may want to lead an event! Let's talk. Contact me, Susan March, and we'll get together. WhatsApp +34 651 858463.
