What a lovely city we live in!

Input from Membership VP - Janine Forbes
Welcome to ALL our new members.
We held our New Members meet up this month and as usual we really enjoyed hearing the amazing stories of how you came to find your new home, and were fascinated to hear the wide range of talents our members bring to the Club. With the increase in members in 2025-2026 we will now run this event quarterly.
Please do come along and meet us at the regular “First Tuesday” coffee on TUESDAY 2nd June at the beautiful Pizca de Sal Terrace, opposite Torres de Quart at 10:30. If you are new to the club and don’t know anyone, please come and find me, I will be wearing a bright Orange lanyard!
If you are very new to your area or the city please speak to Veronica Lopez who is our Ambassador Co-ordinator. Her e-mail is iwcvwelcome@gmail.com New members really appreciate the support of an IWC Ambassador when they are relatively new to the city and we always appreciate the help of “longer term” members.
Remember, all the really useful information about What’s On within the Club and the many, many events is on the IWC website. If you would like to join one of the many Whatsapp groups, just contact the relevant lead member or any Board Member including myself , janine_forbes@hotmail.com. Of course, If you know any women in your personal network who you think would enjoy being a member of our club please pass on www.iwc-valencia.com and bring them along to an event. This is how the majority of women find us and referral is the best recommendation of all.

CASA RONALD
Unfortunately, we had to cancel the tour of Casa Ronald House in May due to lack of interest.A tour is a great opportunity to visit Casa Ronald and see firsthand the wonderful work carried out there to support Families whose children are receiving specialist care in La Fe Hospital. Casa Ronald creates an environment where the child can lead a normal life surrounded by their loved ones while undergoing treatment. We plan to organise another tour in September/October. Before we do I would be grateful for members to register their interest with me in a short email to ensure we have enough interest before we proceed to plan. E-mail pauline.fitzgerald9@gmail.com
CASA RONALD OCTOPUS

ACTIVITIES
Susan Burke March, VP—Activities
Summer starts in the middle of the coming month, and many of you have asked about the IWCV’s summer schedule. Are we open? The answer is yes, although things will definitely slow down a bit and some of our regular events (first Tuesday coffee morning, OWL happy hour, monthly luncheon) will not happen in August. We will still have events to keep you busy, so keep an eye on the Events posted on our website!
For on-going activities (Women Who Walk, Mahjong, Solo Women, Spanish Conversation, etc.) please check with the coordinator for each activity to find out what their summer schedule will be.
We are looking forward to next weekend’s celebration of the wonderful women who have helped out with events and activities over the past year! (A similar celebration will be held in the autumn for those of you who have donated your time to helping with membership and charities).
