Jane Buck has lived in Valencia for one year. Prior to that, she lived in Hong Kong for 18 years where she coordinated activities (including lunches!) for the American Women’s Association, and was on the Boards of both the AWA and the Hong Kong Unit of the League of Women Voters. Jane is now retired after having been a lawyer for nearly 35 years, specializing in life insurance compliance and general corporate law. She lives here with her husband, and has grown children (2 biological and a flock of fosters) in Hong Kong, England, and the US. Jane welcomes the opportunity to help organize some yummy and fun lunches for IWC members and their partners.
Angela Beadling is originally from Manchester, England. She and her husband, David, moved to Valencia in 2016 upon their retirement. They have 2 daughters, Alexandra and Victoria. Angela worked for Barclays Bank for 25 years. She then worked in administration in schools and as Exams Manager at Rochdale 6th Form College. In Valencia she loves eating out, going to the opera and various music events, knitting and sewing.
Vice - President
Susan began her love affair with Spain in 1974 when she and her husband, Martin, established a homestay program in Madrid for students of Foxcroft School. They returned to Spain annually until their retirement in 2009. Since retirement they have lived in Valencia. Susan and Martin have a daughter, Rachel, who lives in Seattle. Prior to arriving in Valencia Susan was Director of Human Resources and Training for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in various hotels in Los Angeles. Her interests are photography, cooking, eating out and travel. Her membership in IWC-Valencia has brought her in contact with an ever-expanding group of wonderful women.
Phyllis So has lived in Valencia, Spain with her husband for almost three years. She has been a member of IWC for the past two years and is currently the IWC Vice President of Events and Activities, the Events Team Leader for Democrats Abroad-Valencia and an avid Mah Jong player. She has one grown son and one 5 year old grandson that live in Seattle, WA.
Phyllis’ favorite past time is connecting people to each other via related interests, whether it be Mah Jong, wine cork crafts, outdoor activities or finding new restaurants to share.
In her professional life she was in corporate technology sales and software training. Phyllis is always looking for new opportunities to grow the IWC community and looks forward to meeting each and every newcomer to Valencia.
Sandra Molyneaux has gone through many phases of her life -- what seemed like a long period of raising five children, then getting a "real" job in travel/education, returning to University, marrying an incredible person, traipsing around major cities of the USA, and settling in Budapest for 7 years. Having moved to Valencia three years ago, she has established roots in the community and can stop packing and unpacking books - forever. Throughout, she has volunteered in local schools, for political causes, and with social organizations. She feels strongly that while we take goodies from our communities, we have an obligation to give back, and IWC-Valencia allows that exchange to happen. Besides, it's a great way to meet great people.
