This is it – our last Newsletter before summer vacation! We will not publish a Newsletter in August. Summer has already hit Valencia full force, with temperatures hovering between 35 and 40 degrees C yesterday (that’s 95 to 104 degrees F). Sunscreen, everyone, and don’t stay outside too long!
SAVE THE DATES!!!
We have already begun planning our autumn events, and there are two special ones happening. Please put these dates into your calendars now as they are very important!
THURSDAY 11 SEPTEMBER: IWCV ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS, Time & Location TBD. The AGM is open to all IWCV members. You will vote for members of the IWCV’s Board of Directors and hear all about what the IWCV has planned for the next year.
THURSDAY 23 OCTOBER: IWCV 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION & FUNDRAISER, open to everyone! IWCV is celebrating our 20 year anniversary with a fundraiser to support our three charities. It will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Espai Llimera on Calle Timoneda. Put the date into your calendars and stay tuned in September as we will post more information on our website!
Even though the IWCV will slow down in the summer, we won’t stop entirely! Here are the events we’ve already got planned for you, and don’t forget to check the website periodically as new events are added all the time!

Input from Membership VP - Janine Forbes
Our final coffee meet up of the summer takes place on Tuesday 1st July at the Muvimas cafe at 10:30. It’s the first of the year I am unable to attend but you will be in the very capable hands of Susan Burke March, our esteemed Events VP . As always we welcome members old and new but would especially ask our more “established” members to look out for new faces and help our new members attending for the first time to feel welcome. It is very much appreciated.
New members really appreciate the help of an IWC Ambassador when they are relatively new to the city, I know I did! If you are an existing member and you would like to help out the Ambassador team please contact Famke on fgrootswagers@gmail.com We are always grateful of extra help!
Remember, all the really useful information about What’s On within the Club and the many, many events is on the IWC website. If you would like to join one of the many Whatsapp groups, just contact the relevant lead member or any Board Member including myself , janine_forbes@hotmail.com . If you know any women in your personal network who you think would enjoy our club, please pass on www.iwc-valencia.com and bring them along to an event. This is how the majority of women find us and referral is the best recommendation of all.
