Learn how to play Hong Kong style Mahjong!

Mahjong is a game that originated in China. Its many regional variants are widely played throughout eastern and south- eastern Asia and are becoming more and more popular in western countries. Similar to western card games like rummy, mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation – and involves a bit of luck! It is fun, it is social, it is easy – and now is your chance to learn to play!
In this 4 session class, you will learn the basics of Hong Kong Mahjong. You will be able to play a game after the first lesson, and by the last you will be ready to join a Mahjong group and play regularly! This class is for beginners, but it’s fine if you’ve played another form of mahjong and want to learn a new version.
There is no charge for IWC members, but please plan to attend all 4 sessions.
