We are entering Valencia’s crossover month, when the still cool breezes of spring morph into warm (and hot) days of summer, and we all re-learn how to walk on the shady side of the street. Many of you will start traveling, to see Spain and Europe’s lovely summer getaway places – and to escape the heat of Valencia. But, our year is not over yet and we’re still planning all kinds of activities and events for you!

To our UK members (and others) – a favor, please! Last month we held a wonderful talk given by the US Consular Officer in Valencia, who answered our members’ questions about the role of the US Consulate Office including what to do in the event an American citizen passes away in Spain. We are considering scheduling the same type of talk by the UK Consular Officer in Valencia Province, but only if there is enough interest among our members. To that end, we ask that any of our members who would be interested in such a talk please email us at president@iwc-valencia.com and let us know. Many thanks for your help!

Normal service appears to have finally resumed with regards the beautiful Valencian weather. We continue to attract lots of interest from new arrivals into Valencia through existing member recommendations and Social Media referrals. 22 new members joined us this month from all over the world to our beautiful city. The next Coffee Morning is on 3rd June 10:30 at the MUVIMAS cafe Terrace attached to the MUVIM Museum and it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible. Please invite your female friends, family, everyone is welcome!

Members really appreciate the help of an IWCV Ambassador when they are relatively new to the city, I know I did!  If you are an existing member and you would like to help out the Ambassador team please contact Famke on fgrootswagers@gmail.com We are always grateful for extra help!

Our Spanish & Coffee: Next Level Conversations group meets every Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:15 in the cafeteria at El Corte Inglés (home goods building). Whether you’re a regular or just curious, you’re always welcome!

We recently sent out a quick survey to hear your thoughts on what’s going well and where we can improve. Your feedback matters, even if you’ve only attended once (or not yet!). 

And here's a chance to give back and join our team! We’re looking for a few more friendly faces to help co-lead or support the group. It’s easy, fun, and a great way to connect. Women Who Walk will begin their summer schedule, with our walks one hour earlier, starting at 10 AM, for the summer months of June- September. We will continue to meet by the Palau de Musica and walk together in Turia Park, then stop for coffee and conversation.
