Curious to try some of the best EVOOs around Valencia? This is a look back at the 2021-2022 season of oils (approximately 4 different oils, taste with a bit of bread). First we’ll look at the general olive oil situation in Spain, clarify the basics of olive oil classifications, learn how to buy the best EVOO and answer any questions you may have. Then we will continue onto Susan M’s contribution and, and taste some olive  oil!

Susan March  Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Country Representative to Spain for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

All weight loss diets work, but which works best for you? Each year U.S. News & World Report ranks diets “best” in several different categories - weight loss, easy-to-follow, and heart-healthy, just to name three. For the 6th consecutive year, the Mediterranean Diet has been ranked #1 as the “Best Diet Overall”, and the Keto Diet is rated #1 for the “Best Fast Weight-Loss Diet.” But there’s a new kid on the block - the Keyto Diet. We’ll discuss why the Mediterranean diet is “best”, and how Keyto’s high-fat/low-carb pattern differs from the ”traditional” Keto Diet by including beneficial fats like those from olives and olive oil.

COST:  This presentation is free to attend, however, IWCV will accept voluntary donations for our charities: Proyecto Vivir, Casa Caridad, and Ronald McDonald House.
