Olive Oil Tour

DESCRIPTION: 

First is a visit to the lovely Olive Oil Estate Masía El Altet in Alcoi (1-1/2 hr drive from Valencia), which is  known for their quality olive oils. We will tour the olive grove and taste their high-end Extra Virgin Olive  Oils. This is a great opportunity to get the oils direct from the producer. This producer does not accept credit  cards, cash only.    

Next, we will go to the small town of Millena (30 min. drive) to tour the olive grove, the mill and see an  "olivo milenario" (1,000 year olive tree)(1.5 hours for tour). The mill does accept credit cards.   After the tour we will have lunch at a local restaurant that includes salad, primer plato, segundo plato, wine  or water, dessert and coffee. Vegetarian menu will be available.  We will be walking through the olive groves and there will be some uneven ground, so wear comfortable  walking shoes. Wheelchairs cannot be used in the groves.  

MEETING LOCATION: The group will meet at the Torres Quart on Calle Guillem de Castro  

COSTS: Total cost is 50€ to be paid in cash before loading the bus. It covers the cost of the bus,  entrance ticket and meal. The meal includes salad, entre and main dish, one dessert, and one beverage. Any  additonal drinks or items off the standard menu are to be paid by each person individually at the restaurant.  

WHO CAN ATTEND: Members and their spouses/partners.   Minimum number of partcipants: 16.   Maximum number of partcipants is 19 (+ Susan, total 20).
