Intro to Mahjong for IWC Members
Now that we’re allowed to get together in small groups, we can learn how to play Hong Kong style Mahjong! But, we need at least 4 people to hold a class, so please email Jane at forjbuck@aol.com if you are interested. As soon as at least 4 of you sign up, we will schedule the class.
Mahjong is a game that originated in China. The game and its regional variants (there are many!) are widely played throughout Eastern and South Eastern Asia and are becoming more and more popular in Western countries. Similar to Western card games like rummy, mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation – and involves a bit of luck!
