The New EVOO on the Scene - ArbequinaThe season's first Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is here! I’ve been following this promising new producer in Valencia for a few years and now is a great time to taste, before the price goes up. The Arbequina varietal is fresh, fruity, and mildly sweet, making it an excellent choice to start the olive oil year. We’ll taste this EVOO with another high-quality option and discuss how to taste olive oil and answer any questions. This producer also offers delicious spreads made from local ingredients, including a chocolate-like carob spread and an almond spread. I enjoy them all!
