About The Event

Please note: This is an active, hands-on cooking class—participants need to be able to stand and move freely during the two-hour session.


This class is intended for experienced cooks only. Participants must have intermediate knife skills and a working knowledge of cooking techniques.


The class will be led by Amanda Cushman, a highly experienced professional chef with over forty-five years in the food industry. Amanda has taught at renowned culinary institutes across the United States as well as in private homes. She studied Indian cooking with acclaimed chef and cookbook author Julie Sahni in New York City. This class will emphasize the preparation and use of unique spice mixtures (known as masalas) for each dish.
