About The Event
It’s springtime in Valencia, and that is the perfect time to visit Montfort Gardens, the oldest gardens in Valencia. Our English-speaking guide, David from Ars Magna, will take us on a fascinating tour where we will see the best these historic and artistic gardens have to offer. The origins of the gardens can be traced back to an orchard purchased by the Marquis de San Juan in 1849. With the help of the architect Sebastián Monleón, the Marquis intended to transform the orchard into a garden inspired by Romanticism. With a neo-classical style palazzo, shady bougainvillea-covered pergola, beautiful rose gardens, ginkgo biloba trees and numerous statues, the Montfort Gardens is one of the most idyllic spots in the city.
