About The Event
This is an opportune time to "silence the critic in your head," give yourself permission to "write garbage," and have fun in the process. Or perhaps you've been thinking about writing a memoir, and don't know where to begin, want to write poetry (yes, we'll do some exercises), or work on an article that you may want to publish. Whether you want to write for your own pleasure or write something to share with others, please consider joining this workshop.
During each session we'll play with some short writing exercises, share (or not share) what we've written, and generally write in a safe and supportive space.
This workshop is being taught by new IWC member, May Leong, a former editor, published writer, and author of her first young adult novel, The World of Aya, and screenplay (a comedy kidnapping caper) The Philanthropists.
This is a 4-session workshop, you will be committing to all 4 sessions.
Time: 11:00 - 13:00
Materials to bring: pen and paper/notebook, or laptop/something to type with.
Number of participants: Members only. Maximum 15 people, minimum 8 people
Cost: 20 Euros at the first session only, for supplies
