Baroque Valencia

The historical period after the Muslims controlled Valencia was a difficult time for Valencia but a great one in terms of art. The Spanish Baroque of the first decades gave vent to the Italian influence, visible in Valencian architectural works such as Saint Martin, Santos Juanes, and, more clearly, in Valencia’s

Cathedral. Who were the "Novatori"? What were dramatic arts like in Valencia during this century? And how did the economy of the reign fare after over 40% of the population was expelled?
