The Annual General Meeting is a time to elect officers, review the past year and plan the upcoming year. Please make every attempt to attend. What you have to say is important as we plan the next year together.

About The Event

Dear Fellow Members of the IWC - Valencia,

We wish to formally advise you that the Annual General Meeting of the International Women's Club-Valencia will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019. It will be held in Restaurante BAAT located at 8 Calle Pintor Salvador Abril just a few doors down from Avenida Reino de Valencia.

The AGM is called at 12.00 pm  and, in accordance with Spanish law, will be recalled and held at 12.30 p.m.  

The purpose of the meeting is:

1. to elect or re-elect the officers of the Club

2. to review the club's activities of the prior year

3. to consider any matters pertinent to the Club and its administration that the Board or any member wishes to raise.

Positions, which are honorary, are for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and a Representative Member, thus forming the Executive Committee.

Brenda Stein, Vice President will be resigning. Phyllis So has agreed to run for Vice-President.

Acting Treasurer, Angela Beadling will run for election.

Secretary, Sandra Monlyneaux, and Representative Member, Elaine Weckwerth will complete the 2nd year of their 2 year terms

While not an elected position, Brenda Stein has agreed to continue to organize activities.

Please note that anyone who is a member may stand for office and/or nominate another to stand. You may nominate any Club member through “Contact Us” on the website or at the meeting. Voting will be done on paper, by secret ballot, in accordance with our Constitution and the nominee with a simple majority of votes will be appointed. No person may hold 2 offices.
