CHARITIES AND FUNDRAISING
We are thrilled to let you know that Casa Ronald’s Gala Fundraiser at the beach this month is now full. To those IWCV members who signed up to attend, or who could not attend but made a donation anyway, thank you! You have supported a very worthy cause.
Our fundraising efforts will slow down this summer, but they will not stop! Please let us know if you would like to help out through donations or volunteering and we will point you in the right direction!
Activities and Events Update:
It’s exciting to see the interest of our members to participate in events and to suggest activities! Apart from our on-going activities (Mahjong, Knit & Knatter, Women Who Walk, etc), we are planning to start having at least two “special” activities per month starting in September so please let us know what is of interest to you.
Tour – Gandia with Ducal Palace - May 24, 2022
Our members took the train to Gandia to visit the Ducal Palace for an English-guided tour and a delicious lunch. IWCV member Martina Van de Gay and her husband, Gerald, were the coordinators and everything went well and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Martina and Gerald!
As we schedule more trips we need more coordinators and assistants to make the tour/activity go smoothly. Please consider getting more involved! It’s easy and it’s fun! For more information, please contact Phyllis So at email@example.com.
Our special activities for June are above, right at the beginning of this newsletter where you can all see them! There is a lot to do – there might even be a special prize for whoever does all of them!
Possible Upcoming Activities
Wine and Empanadas – Coordinator: Ines Reser
Weekly Spanish Intercambio (A casual, weekly group for those wanting to improve their conversational Spanish skills by conversing with Spanish/English) – Coordinator: Rebecca Weston. We are looking for Spanish/English speakers, a venue, and a back-up should Rebecca be traveling. If you are interested, please let Phyllis know (firstname.lastname@example.org)
