Curious to try some of the best EVOOs around Valencia? This is a look back at the 2021-2022-2023 season of oils (approximately 4 different oils, tasted with a bit of bread). First we’ll look at the general olive oil situation in Spain, clarify the basics of olive oil classifications, learn how to buy the best EVOO and answer any questions you may have. Then we will enjoy Susan M’s contribution, and have the olive oil tasting.

Susan Hoover is an olive oil curator. She is a certified tester, and serves on several juries for local  EVOO competitions. She also teaches tasting and pairing for international students.

Susan March is a registered dietitian, nutritionist, and a country representative to Spain for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Some nutrition myths are benign, and some are downright dangerous! Certainly the Internet and social media contribute to misinformation and “theories” that abound. Let’s examine some deceptive nutrition myths and the truths behind them. Maybe you’ve got your own pet myth? After signing up, feel free to email me in advance of the presentation and I’ll add yours to the list of topics to discuss.
